Drawing is a natural activity. It is an affair that I faithfully attached to since an art student. My observation and drawing skills developed through regular sketching at almost any objects and situations, as well as experimentations with drawing approaches, media and techniques.

In general, drawing has dual functions. One is as preparatory studies for other forms like painting, sculpture or multimedia art that includes development sketches, visual proposals and perhaps technical drawings. Second is drawing as a ‘form’ like painting, sculpture or other forms. It stands on its own, it is not a working plan or study towards something else. I regarded drawing in both understanding, and more important is that drawing is all about looking, observing, and perception – which is to be translated onto chosen surfaces.
